EISAI, known best for its creation of drugs like Aricept, to treat alzheimers, gathered in Andover, MA (just a short drive from Boston, Massachusetts) to “Make A Wish” come true. Constantly researching, developing and testing their newly developed drugs, EISAI took a few hours out of their research to engage in a team building event, designed to make them a stronger team. Collaboration, the exploration of each others strengths, and communication was the foundation for a Build-A-Bike.
In a world of science that is as important as life itself, this worldwide pharmaceutical research company puts the well-being of patients, and discovering new ways to make life better before all else. Research takes precision teamwork. From the scientists who search for answers to the teams that care for the buildings, equipment and people who work there, better cooperation and collaboration makes things come together more quickly.
They came together to build a stronger team, learn about themselves, each other, let their hair down, and build some bikes for kids who are ill. Kids who have a pained view of the world, still wish for simple thing – like a single bike. Smiles, tears and laughter ruled the day. They got to know each other in a much different way. They knew what each other “did” before today, but not “who” each of them is. Feeling good about learning and giving to some little kids who know how difficult life can already be, made the folks from EISAI ready to go back to research, and relate to each other in a much better way.
